Parking

It's a perennial London problem - but for many of you in The Bow Quarter it is sorted, provided you purchased one of the overground or underground parking bays with your flat. Parking bays are exclusively for the use of residents and in the rare event one comes up for sale it can only be purchased by an existing flat owner. Additional parking spaces are sometimes available for rental - enquiries to the Estate Office on 020 8983 0947.

Safe and secure - if you have a parking bay then you will be provided by the Estate Administrator with a proximity reader to allow you to drive into the estate. Drive slowly please, the speed limit is 5mph. Always display your permit and be prepared to report any suspicious activity in the carparks immediately to the security staff.

If you want to park your car in the street, then you will need a Resident's Parking Permit from Tower Hamlets - and you can then buy guest permits for your visitors. Contact their Parking Shop in the Bethnal Green Road on 020 7364 3788 or look at the website - www.towerhamlets.gov.uk

If you prefer to use a bike, then there are plenty of designated places about the grounds for you to store it - but please push your bike to them. And please don't chain your bike to any railings or downpipes in the grounds; if you do it will be removed

If you are having work done on your flat, then only in exceptional circumstances and for very limited periods can contractors be allowed to park on site. Make sure you discuss your requirements well in advance with the estate office and please do tell security if you are expecting a bulky delivery.
